Primarily, I am a food writer, stylist and home economist. I have worked in this industry for over 12 years and fully admit to being completely food obsessed. I love sourcing ingredients from artisan producers, the more local the better, and spend many happy summer weekends attending food festivals and farmers’ markets. We really are lucky in Monmouthshire to have a whole host of fab foodie businesses, from microbreweries and vineyards, cider makers and cheese makers and we’ve even got one of Britain’s largest artisan charcuterie companies, Trealy Farm Charcuterie, virtually on the doorstep. Then there’s the nationally renowned Abergavenny Food Festival, held ever September and now in its 22nd year, several Michelin starred restaurants including The Whitebrook and an army of small producers and farmers, bakers, butchers and confectioners. There are potters, woodworkers and glass makers creating beautiful tableware and tables….so here is where I’ll be sharing my recipes and reviews, my recommendations and yummy finds. Not all are local, some are great British institutions but all share a love of good food, ethical production and kindred philosophies.
